My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Gary Blackstien for a number of years and have found him to be a very efficient and sincere dentist. Having been a dentist myself for 50 years and taught dental students at the Tel Aviv Dental School for 16 years I feel I am able to appraise the excellence of his treatment and have recommended him to my family and former patients.

Dr. Blackstien's clinic offers high level dental treatment using the most advanced scientific and technological methods in dentistry. Moreover, Dr. Blackstien is very friendly with the patients, inspiring them to trust him and turn away any stress they may face even in the most complicated dental surgeries.

I am the worst dental patient, the kind of patient whose dentist takes a valium before she sits in the chair. I have always been anxious, frightened, squirming, complaining, and generally hostile to dentists. Period. Unhappily for Dr. Blackstien, this behavior has not completely disappeared; however, I can acknowledge that there is no realistic cause for it when I sit in his dentist's chair.

Dr Blackstien has been my dentist for over 22 years, and I have never known a moment's pain. This includes root canal work, fillings, cosmetic dentistry, and general cleanings. Dr. Blackstien knows every tooth in my mouth. In addition to his gentle touch, Dr. Blackstien is extremely considerate. Once, on a Friday evening, a few hours before dinner guests were to arrive, an old cap (not one of Dr. Blackstien's!) in the front of my mouth loosened and came out. Not wanting to greet my guests with a huge gapping smile, I called him to see if he could help. By chance, he was still at the office and, without a moment's hesitation, he told me to come in. I was home in time to reheat Shabbat dinner.

My husband is also a very satisfied patient and his teeth have never looked better since he has been in Dr. Blackstien's care. More importantly, Dr. Blackstien successfully solved my husband's lifelong oral problem of painful mouth sores by advising him to change some of his oral hygiene habits.

As a 23 year old new immigrant from the United States, I'd never been to a dentist in Israel. When I began to experience pain from my wisdom teeth, I avoided finding a dentist because of the possible cost, language barrier, and hassle of finding a trustworthy clinic. I waited until the situation became an emergency from which I could no longer function at work, and found Dr. Blackstien's site on the Internet. I called and desperately asked if I could 'get these teeth out' as soon as possible, and the Doctor made time for me that day. The Staff was friendly, and Dr. Blackstien, (himself an immigrant from Canada), spoke to me in English. Even the instruction sheet for my recovery was printed out in English. The procedure was quick, painless, and affordable. Dr. Blackstien stayed in the office after closing to find an open pharmacy close to my home, explained exactly how I could find it, and when the Pharmacy gave me trouble about stamps and letterheads, Dr. Blackstien came himself to the Pharmacy to be sure I got my prescription immediately. His prescription kept me pain-free for my entire recovery and had me back to work in a day. He consistently called to be sure I was in no pain during the healing process (more than any of my previous doctors have done for me in the States), and scheduled an appointment to remove the stitches for the following week. When I returned, the stitches were out in a trice, and we rescheduled a cleaning and check-up for next month. I have no doubt that I'll be returning for future procedures. The clinic was clean and efficient, and the service was friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Blackstien's clinic, and have even told my family that it was a better dental experience than I've ever had in America. Thank you Dr. Blackstien and Staff!

For me, a good dentist is first and foremost a fair, dedicated and caring person. His objective must be the patient's well-being, and he must use his professional skills to seek the appropriate treatment for each patient.

A good dentist involves the patient throughout the treatment process, and discusses with the patient the nature of the treatment required, its duration and the goals to be achieved. All of the above, and more, qualities I found in Dr. Blackstien. Through a long and complex treatment plan, including referrals to specialists for maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, and conventional dentistry, I enjoyed the dedicated and professional care provided by Dr. Gary and the entire staff of the clinic, who, together, provided me with empathy and support, the end result of which is a million dollar smile.

בתור פציינטים וותיקים שלכם, הרשו לנו "לומר" כמה מילות תודה על הפעולה של דר גרי. אנו מבקרים אצלך זה 20 שנה בדייוק. העבודה שלך, דר' גרי היא מקצועית ברמה הגבוהה ביותר ומדוייקת ללא פשרות. המיכשור מודרני-עדכני ושמירה על ההיגיינה היא קפדנית ביותר. שעת תחילת הטיפול שנקבעה מראש, מקויימת בדיוק. מעולם לא הבנתי איך אתה יודע בדיוק לקבוע את משך הטיפול (אפילו אם הוא מסובך), אבל עובדה, שאתה עומד תמיד בלוח הזמנים. כל הדברים הללו חשובים, אך לדעתי הדבר הכי חשוב אצלך הוא היחס האישי שלך למטופלים, שכנראה טבוע אצלך בדם. איש לא אוהב ללכת לטיפול אצל רופא שיניים, אבל במרפאתך שוררת אווירה חברית-משפחתית הודות לגישתך וליחס האישי של כל הצוות למטופלים. עברנו אצלך טיפולים מכל הסוגים: סתימות, עקירות, ניתוחי חניכיים, בניית גשרים ומה לא. תמיד דאגת שלא נסבול כאבים ואף פעם לא היו סיבוכים לאחר הטיפולים. למרות זאת, אנו מודים, שהיה נעים לקבל ממך שיחת טלפון ובה וידאת שהכל עבר בשלום. לפי הנחיתך, אנו מקפידים להתייצב אצלך לטיפול מונע (ניקוי אבנית, צילומי רנטגן וכד') מדי כמה חודשים והודות לכך לא נזקקנו לטיפולים "קשים" בשנים האחרונות. אנו רואים בך רופא שיניים מושלם. מכל הלב מוכנים להמליץ בפני כל אדם הזקוק לטיפול שיניים, ובטוחני שהוא יברך אותנו על כך. ושוב תודה לך ולכל הצוות על הטיפול המסור והנאמן שזכינו לקבל מיכם במשך השנים. בברכה חמה: גדי ומרים פלד.

As veteran patients, permit us to say a few words of gratitude for Dr. Gary's work. We have been attending your clinic now for exactly twenty years. Your work, Dr. Gary, is professional on the highest level, and exacting without compromise. Modern up-to-date equipment, and maintenance of high hygienic standards are most thorough. The treatment always begins at the appointed time. I never understood how you know exactly how much time to schedule for (even complex) treatment but the fact is that you always stay on schedule. All these things are important, but in my opinion, the most important thing about you is the personal relationship you give your patients, which seems to be in your blood. No one really likes going to the dentist, bu in your clinic there is a friendly, family-like atmosphere, thanks to your attitude and the personal relationship of all of the staff to the patients. We have been through all manner of treatment with you: fillings, extractions, gum surgery, bridges- you name it. You have always made sure we did not suffer from pain, and we never had complications after treatment. Nonetheless, we note that it was pleasant to receive phone calls from you to make sure that everything was going alright afterwards. As per your instructions, we make sure we show up for regular preventive care (cleaning, xrays, etc.) every few months and as a result we have not needed any "heavy" treatment in recent years. We see you as a perfect dentist. We can sincerely recommend you to anyone needing dental treatment, and we are sure that they will bless us for the referral. I first came to Dr. Gary Blackstien's clinic in 1995 on the recommendation of a friend. Today I continue to have my teeth looked after in his clinic despite the fact that I do not live in the vicinity for about the last ten years.

In Gary's clinic I have professional care, including a great deal of information which Dr. Blackstien shares with his patients, providing answers to questions and including detailed explanation of planned treatment, of its stages, the reasons for the choice of treatment from among existing options.

Much experience and constant development, come to be expressed by constant learning and the application of new things. In addition, there is integrity and of course… a wonderful staff.
